நாதன் மிக மனமுடைந்து நீலகண்டனை கடுமையாக பேசிவிடுகிறார். இருவரும் விட்டுக்கொடுத்து வார்த்தைக் கடுமைகளைக் குறைத்தாலும், அதன் பின் எஞ்சி நிற்கும் மனக்கசப்பாலும், தன்மானத்தாலும், சிறு விரிசல் ஏற்படுகிறது. அதைப் பின்னர் கேள்விப்படும் அசோக், "பாகவதர்" தம் வீட்டிற்கு
வராமல் இருப்பதற்கு காரணம் புரிந்து திகைக்கிறான்.

வெளிநாடுகளுக்கு செல்லும் வாய்ப்பு வந்தால் அதை ஒரு அந்தணன் ஏற்பதா வேண்டாமா என்ற சர்ச்சை முன்பொரு காலத்தில் இருந்த்து. தற்கால்த்தில் யாரும் அந்தணனுக்குறிய கடமைகளை செய்வதல்லை, அதனால், இதைப் பற்றி யாரும் கவலைப்படுவதில்லை என்பது நிஜம். வறுமையில் வாடினாலும், மன உறுதி தளராது இருப்பவன் மேன்மைக்குறியவன். பாரதியாரைப் பற்றி இங்கு குறிப்பிட்டிருக்கிறார்கள். அவர் மிகுந்த வறுமையில் வாடினார் என்பது பலருக்கும் தெரியும். அவருக்கு ஏகப்பட்ட கடன் தொல்லைகள் இருந்ததும், அதன் துக்கம் தாளாமல் இக்கடன் தீர்ந்தாலல்லவோ நான் முழுமையான உயர்ந்த கவிதைகள் இயற்ற முடியும் என்று புலம்பியுள்ளார். நெறிமுறைப்படி வாழ நினைப்பவர்களின் உலகம் இதுவல்ல என்பதால் அப்படி வாழ்பவர்களுள் பலர் வறுமையில் வாடுகின்றோரே.

அப்படிப்பட்ட வறுமையிலும் "போதும்" என்ற மனம் கொண்டு சாம்பு வெளி நாடு செல்லும் வாய்ப்பை மறுத்துவிடுகிறார். அவள் துணைவியாரும் அவரோடு ஒத்தவராய் இருப்பது அவர் செய்த மாபெரும் அதிர்ஷ்டம் (வேண்டுமென்றால் புண்ணிய கர்மா என்று வைத்துக்கொள்ளலாம்)

( 'ஆனா', நீங்கள் சுட்டிக்காட்டிய சுட்டியின் படி, சூழ்நிலை உயர்ந்தில்லாவிடினும் (அதாவது சிறு துக்கங்களை கொடுத்தாலும்), உயர்ந்த மனநிலையுள்ள பிறப்பு" என்பது நினைவு வந்தது. )

அந்தணன் அல்லது பிராமணக் குலத்தோன்றல்கள் கடல் கடந்து செல்லுதல் ஏன் சாஸ்திரத்திற்கு விரோதம்? என்ற கேள்விக்கு convincing விளக்கம். தருகிறார்கள். நித்ய உபகர்மாக்களில் ஒன்று காயத்ரி மந்திர உச்சடனம். மும்முறை செய்யப்படவேண்டிய ஒன்று. பூமியில் செய்யப்படவேண்டிய வேண்டிய இக்கர்மா, கடல் கடந்து போகும் போது செய்ய முடியாமல் போவதால் இந்த விதி ஏற்பட்டது என்ற விளக்கம் தருகின்றனர் பெரியோர்.

"விவேகானந்தரைப் போன்ற பல துறவிகள் கடல் கடந்து அமைதியை பரப்பவில்லையா?" என்றால், அவர்கள் சென்றதன் நோக்கம், பொது நோக்கம், தன் சுய சம்பாத்தியத்தை பெருக்கிக்கொள்வதற்காக அல்ல என்பது ஒப்புக்கொள்ளவேண்டிய பதில்.

மேலும் இப்பாரத பூமி கர்ம பூமியாக இந்து மதத்தில் சொல்லப்படுகிறது. இதை பல்வேறு துறவிகளும் ஆச்சார்யர்களும் கூட உரைத்து வந்திருக்கின்றனர். பாரதம் = கர்ம பூமி, மற்ற பூமி போக பூமி என்ற சொல்லபடுகிறது.

பி.கு: ஏனைய சில பூமிகளில் பிறந்த மற்றோர், அல்லது மற்ற மதத்தினருக்கும், பித்ருக்கள் பற்றிய அறிவுறுத்தல்கள், அவர்களுக்குக் செலுத்த வேண்டிய கடன், செல்ல வேண்டிய நேர் வழிப்பாதைகள் என பல இருக்கின்றன. அப்படி இருக்கும் போது, மற்ற பூமி போக பூமியென்றும் பாரதம் மட்டுமே கர்ம பூமியென்றும், இந்துமதம் சொல்வதை என்னால் புரிந்துகொள்ள முடியவில்லை.

எல்லா மதங்களிலும் எல்லாம் சொல்லப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. எந்த நாட்டிலும் தேடல் துவங்கலாம், முழுமை பெறலாம். எந்த பூமியிலும் கர்மா செய்யப்படலாம் பூர்த்தியாகலாம் . இதில் வேற்றுமை ஏன்!?

These two types of karma can combine so that

Among the different types of karma, we can further distinguish
propelling karma and completing karma.

o Propelling karma, as its name suggests, propels one into a state of existence, whatever that may be.
o Completing karma determines the specific circumstances within that state of existence; it fills in the basic outline produced by the propelling karma.

Conversely, a negative propelling karma associated with a positive completing karma would cause us to take birth in a lower-realm existence in which we would enjoy good circumstances. For example, we might be born in the West as a domestic animal that had very privileged living conditions."

I have come to believe that when physical and mental life themselves are hardly in black and white, spiritual life, which in itself has infinitely many more shades than the physical/mental world. 'Negative , positive, higher , lower' are mostly our feeble attempts to understand the complexities of the spiritual universe in the terms of dual principles of our physical universe. After a point, they stop making any sense at all. An action can simultaneously seem to incur positive/negative or totally fall in between the 'moral' karmic divide. Ultimately, it is best to forget all these things and engage in the pursuit of Swadharma alone.

Swadharma is the Creator, Sustainer and Destroyer, ... the Buddha, the Dhamma, and the Sanga,.. the Truth, the Way, and the Life.
