If you pay close attention, the Raja-ish feel to the numbers may have been done intentionally. Kuthu Kuthu seriously reminds me of ooru vittu.

Like wise first interlude in pachai kili has shades of Rahman's ottagathai kattiko .. while the song on the whole has a U1 stamp all over it

Nevertheless, Thaman is certainly promising .. way to go ..

While there are one hit wonder folks who are showcased in the media this kid definitely deserves due credit for delivering back to back hits

heard Paniye song, the song is very good and IRish in ludes, rthym and even in tune?. Looks like S.Thaman is heavily inspired by none other than Ilaiyaraja's Punnaigaiyil minsaram (Barathan) song, I mean the pattern.

Nevertheless kudos to Thaman . Nice to hear

Can't stop listening to Paniye. The vintage IR style sounds so refreshing since I haven't listened to any of older works in the recent times.

In fact after listening to Paniye, I went back to some of my IR favorites - En Iniya Pon Nilave, Raja Raja Cholan Naan, Ilaya Nila...

Sounds great!

Un uyirai, sung by Karthik is the pick. The song is too good with mind expanding lyrics and soulful rendition by Karthik. But the track is so Rahmanish especially the grand beats that start @ 1:55. Brillaint!

Missing something is a nice melody with english verses... Reeta's rendition is brilliant!

Oh La la li sung by Suchitra Kalakkal peppy number.... Have never liked Suchitra's singing. Never thought she can sing this beautifully She rocks! She was good in Pesum poove!
