    is it inspired or copied?

    I always thought ARR's New york nagaram was a special song.Now I come across this jazz music.So, what do u think ? is it a copy or inspiration?

    Susheela Raman is no original singer. She takes traditional songs, bhajans etc. and distorts them so badly.. There are still takers for her albums!!

    Yes, GVP's arrangements for Yathee are very imilar to her version.. Here are two examples of the traditional bhajan "Bolo Bolo Sab Mil Bolo Om Namah Shivaya"

    Interpolation

    Interpolation is a new word for copying. It has been caught on with pop music where one singer admires other singers song and uses that in his/her song. In some cases the singer who originally created a song gets compensated for being interpolated.

    So the current generation MD of TFM Harris, Yuvan, GVP, Vijay Antony, Anirudh etc could be termed as interpolators not copiers
    Even Deva in 1990s interpolated lot of songs with the admiration of IR songs.
