It is very tasty and spicy.
It tastes better than my potato roast.

BEANS SPROUTS FITTERS
Ingredients:
200 grms self raising flour
1 green chillie thinly sliced
¼ tsp chillie powder
1 onion thinly sliced
3 small chives cut into 1 inch strips
2 tbs cooked corn kernels
2 tbs of beans sprouts
Salt to taste
Water to make into a batter
Oil
Method:
Mix flour, salt, chillie powder and water and combine until the texture is smooth.
The texture should be thick and not watery.
Now add in the green chillie, onions, chives, corn kernels and beans sprouts. Combine well.
Heat a wok with cooking oil. When the oil is heated properly,
Scoop the batter in your hands and drop it into the oil.
Fry until they reach a golden brown colour.
Remove it to a plate covered with a kitchen roll.
Serve it with chillie or tomato sauce.

K, we dont make anythng so complicated. Just mix taugeh (bean sprouts) with white flour, sliced onions, sliced chilly and a little salt. Add water to make it lumpy. Spoon and deep fry. Thats all.
Can be eaten on its own or with rice with saambaar or rasam.

[tscii] Dev, I have posted 2 bitter gourd recipes for you.
BITTERGOURD IN TOMATO SAUCE.
Ingredients:
300 grms long bitter gourd cut into small pieces
2 big tomatoes steamed and pureed
1 big onion chopped
2 tsp chillie powder
¼ tsp tumeric powder
¼ tsp asafoetida powder
2 tsp tamarind paste
½ tsp mustard seeds
½ tsp cumin seeds
1 sprig curry leaves
1 tbs oil
Salt to taste
Jaggery to taste (optional )
Method:
Add a liitle salt to the cut bitter gourds and keep aside. (squeeze out the liquid later)
Heat a wok with the oil. Add in the mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
After the seeds splutter, add in the onions, curry leaves. Sauté well.
Now add in the tumeric , chillie and asafoetida powders.
Stir well, add in the pureed tomatoes, and the tamarind paste.
Mix well, add in squeezed bitter gourd, salt and little water if the mixture is very thick. Let it cook till it is semi thick and the bitter gourd cooked. Add in the jaggery , stir nicely and remove.
Serve as a side dish or with bread.

kugan, thanks for ur compliments. Its really tempting after seeing ur picture of potato thokku.
ur bean sprouts fitters looks different , i will try that through this weekend.

thanks for giving the rava idli receipe, i have a doubt, do we need to fry rava? coz one of my friend told me that we need to fry rava. Plz clear my doubt.
Also u have explained the consistency, normally how much oil should we need for a cup of rava.
