Dear friends, as i said earlier, I'm sharing my view abt.Gowravam.

GOWRAVAM, which gave us the stylish & immortal Barrister Rajnikanth is one of the milestones in NT's career as well as in Tamil cinema. Generally, anda kalathu padangalil youngsters jollyagavum elders seriousagavum iruppargal. Aanal vithyasamag idhil, Jr.NT sadhuvana, poruppulla, kadavul nambikkayudaya ilaignanaga varuvar. On the contrary, avarudaya periappa, the great Barrister Rajnikanth jollyana, urakka pesum, madhu arundum, kadavul nambikkayilladha (except in one scene) adey samayam thozhil mel abaara bhakti ullavaraga varuvar. Though NT played both the characters, Barristeraga pichu udariyiruppar - anda style, the way he holds his pipe, the typical brahmin slang - NO WAY !!!

Avar kudhthaalum, casuala, jollya irundalum, oru senior lawyerukku uriya ganniyathaym dignityum nam kan mun niruthuvar. This char.was well conceived by Mr Vietnamveedu Sundaram and ofcourse this wouldnt hv been possible without our NT making full justice to the character. Even in "Adisaya ulagam" song he will be sitting in a chair and make small dancing movements with a wine glass in his hand - Splendid !!!

In later years, Rajini did a typical dual role in "Netrikkann", where the old man character was more raw.

Now, enakku piditha scenes in Gowravam :

Scene 1 : Sr.Nt talks abt his aim in life - " enakkunu vazhkayile oru latchiyam irunda, adu justice post. It is my aim, ambition and my goal ". Anda goal engira varthaiyai solliyabadiye ezhundirippar - wow ! wat a stylish dialogue delivery

Scene 2 : Jr NT asks, "Yaarala periappa anda Mohanadasai kappatha mudiyum?" to which Barrister replies, " Ennala mudiyumda..ennala mudiyum " . Again, the dialogue rendered in a stylis manner.

Scene 3 : When Inspector (played by another good artiste, Senthamarai) comes to fetch Jr NT to appear as Public Prosecutor, Sr. will be sitting in a sofa. Shoulersai oru madhiri shake seidu thenavatta inspectarai parthu ketpar " Insp. he is not only my son, ennudaya thozhilukkum avandhan varisu. Naama courtleye meet pannalam" . Appo, he will be wearing only socks - kaalai press seidu konde Jr idam solvar "Dei Kanna, indha kaala konjam pudichi viduda". Great.
