Yesterday I was at home nursing the spot where my wisdom tooth was, and I didn't watch the live telecast, knowing well the show's gonna suck. They repeated the telecast at night, and I was right. Only thing different from MTV awards is here they wear tux and evening gown. The Oscar, as a show, as gone to the dogs. The mongrel type.

Surprise in Venice (or not much really if you had seen McQueen's Hunger) is Fassbender winning Volpi for Shame ahead of Oldman in TTSS.

“I would like to thank all the actors who have been here - in particular Gary Oldman. He's my hero.' , Fassbender says..

    http://www.goldenglobes.org/blog/201...s-nominations/

Cranston vs Grammer vs Damian Lewis is far more of a contest, Motion pictures: Fassbender for Shame all day & night.

Idris Elba for Luther would suit nicely. Anyways, since when do we take GG seriously in other categories. Acting aside, it holds no prestige

Woody isn't going to attend the Globes anyway! How many great award speeches have we missed though?
