    I have gone through this thread. Nice to recollect the songs. For almost 10 years I am trying to get to know about the song "Pullanguzhal
    mozhi thamizh thamizh". If any one has the real movie clipping of the song please send me. I got into this page when I have searched Pullanguzhal through Google. Great to feel , there are still some old music lovers around (songs from 70's and 80's).

    Shankar-Ganesh inspite of having given several lovely original composition have been overlooked by most people as MDs who copied tunes. Let us ignore the copies and list/discuss original compositions only of Shankar-Ganesh, which there are many.

    yes indeed they are good pair. but personally i feel that they lacked the consistency in producing the magic. but they have come up with some good music often but not always like IR or ARR! i like Meagame Meagame......song...
    Idhaya Thaamarai...all the songs were gr8!
    but they had that tendency to change their music style who ever is oon top during that times. like MSV, IRR times! ofcourse certainly not ARR times. for that Shankar -Ganesh was replaced my the one and only DEVA- the man of politeness!

    S-G&#39;s songs in Attukara Alamelu, Kanni Paruvathile, Kannodu Kann, and Moondru Mugam were chartbusting originals. This duo had a very affable and spontaneous approach to film music. Some of their songs are masterpieces.

    Theres this beautiful song "thai paadiye andru naan thoonginean" from this movie with Prabhu and Revathy, Uthama purushan ? I rememeber the music was by Shanker-Ganesh, ofcourse I was kid when the song came,so I could be wrong, but when I hear it now with amma&#39;s old music collections it brings back memories.

    Pattikaatu Raja had their best two numbers

    1.Unnai Naan paarthathu Vennila- SPB
    2.Konjum Kili vanthathu -PS

    Their two MGR movies had good songs.Of course MGR was there!
    1.Naan en piranthen - Particularly the Bharathidasan song "chithira Cholayile"
    2.Idhyakani-All songs were brilliant-The song ponnanthi malai pozhuthu was even copied in Hindi.Idont know the film or MD but sung by Kishore.
