    Best trailers of Tamil movies

This might in itself be a short thread since there are few widely seen movie trailers in Tamil films.

    A movie trailer works if:
    1. If it is crisply edited
    2. It conveys the mood of the movie
    3. Gives a hint of the key message or theme without giving away much
    4. Introduces something radical

And again, this is about well made trailers, not necessarily well made movies.

Some of the trailers I see these days are just a random assortment of scenes from the movie. Besides, more than half of it is spent on the credits sequence, as if they have to oblige everyone involved in the movie.

For starters, I would say the following trailers as being impressive:

    (in no particular order)

Sivaji - Well edited. Didnt reveal the story much, but gave an idea of the style content.

Aalavandhan - Clean and very professional look. Built up the expectations to sky high.

Sultan - Looks radical and innovative for Indian cinema.

Anniyan - A very good teaser. Never revealed the movie content even though it introduced all three characters.

Any more that you have come across??
    அன்புடன்,

    மது.

Boys had a great trailer, but just like Aalavandan, the expectations were too high and the movie didn't live up to it. ( i like it anyway)
