The PWD filed an affidavit in the HC saying that the roads will be in good condition by August this year. Caught in a land deal, he resigned. The finance minister filed another affidavit that the road will be tarred before September. Nothing happened, Yesterday the CM has promised that all roads in Kerala will be healed by October!! Though it is an age of plastic currency, we have to handle paper currency in our day to life. Most of the times we handle soiled notes with protest. The students of Dr. Ambedkar Memorial School Kattela have designed an equipment to clean the soiled currency notes.

The currency cleanser consists of two tiny aluminum rods with brown paper rolled over them. Place the soiled note on the upper rod and turn the lever. Lo! Brown paper “sucks” the dirt and now the note is mint fresh!

today, AN ASST SUB INSPECTOR was killed in the encounter between SFI (students wing of Marxist party) and ABVP (THAT OF BJP) AT THE NSS COLLEGE CHANGANASSERY IN KOTTAYAM DISTRICT. POLICE RAIDED THE CAMPUS AND FOUND OUT WEAPONS FROM THE CAMPUS.

Will the decision be revoked?
Recently, the Guruvayur Dewasom allowed women to wear churidahar. The devaprasnam held recently, says that the decision is not acceptable!
This observation came on the 5th day of the devaprasanam, after a lengthy debate. The traditional dress, according to the custom has to be maintained.
The tantri the chief priest gave his consent and churidhar were allowed from last month. Some one filed a case against in the HC which upheld the decision of the Dewasom.
The Chairman of the Board said that the dewasom took the decision after consulting it with the Hindu organizations and most of them were in favour in view of the contemporary social needs.

Doctor’s strike
37 days long doctor’s strike demanding salary hike seems to continue. The doctors have decided to boycott the duties of the pay wards from 20 NOVEMBER and not to co-operate with the works of the rural health mission. If the govt fails to meet their demands strike would be intensified-the KGMOA warned. The govt gave instruction to the treasury not to issue salary. Salaries would be given only after receiving written request/declaration that they are not participating in the strike. KGMOD EXPRESSED anguish over the govt’s attitude.
