IR in Guinness???

Folks,
I was listening to Rajangham programme in AAHA FM today and playback singer Anuradha Sriram was the guest in that show.
She did say that IR name is in Guinness - but did not comment for what reason , like the number of movies/songs or any other reason..

Anyone aware of this? if yes, could someone share the info please.....

Can be becuase he scored for the highest number of films in a single year : 52 in 1985 !

Or because he might have scored the largest number of movies in the world ( possible ).

I think he composed for 56 movies in the yr 1992..

The year 1992 marked the entry of ARR if you remember !

That year, IR did not score many movies, as Deva was already there grabbing some low budget projects..

I think the max noof movies IR scored was during 79-80-81 .

Not sure but. It was something like 49 or 50

As per Raaja.com, it was in 1984 & 1992, IR composed music for 54 films, definetly an amazing achievement...

more than one film in a week...

Nobody in the world could have scored 1500 films !

All these false news are started by News channels as soon as a MD dies.. I remember when KVM died, they gave a count of 1500 films to him

Best source as of now will be Film News Anandhan.

But I am sure ( no proof ) that no MD in India would have over taken IR in number ( as well as quality ofcourse

)

MSV said that in an interview in Vijay TV about 3 weeks back. Program is called "Sigaram Thotta Manithargal".
