I dint have complaints with MS winning the best director and his speech was awesome to say the least :P
But D winning the best pictures was surprising to me.. I was betting for babel :P

Finally they gave it to Scorcese. I See this more of a sympathy Oscar, like they did with Newman and Pacino. The Departed is a damned good thriller for a normal director, but for Scorsese, it's not his best work. But what the hell, I am happy for the poor guy who shoulda got it long time ago.
