Yes, shiva is good. "Yen pen endru piranthai" is too good melody. "Enna azaghu ethanai azhagu" is a hit number already.

Balabharathy's songs "Taj mahal thevaillai", "Nee pesum poova povanam" are some of good melodies.

TR's classical number "Oru ponmanai naan pada" is a great number.

I like SAR's all the songs from "Pudhu vasantham".

I dont think Ramesh Vinayagam falls into the 3rd rate music directors... He is quite ahead of the pack(deva's. SAR's, sirpi's). Univerisity, Naladhamayandhi,Aee nee romba azhaga irukkae and Azhagiya Theeye had very good original numbers. He is good at both fast and melodious numbers and quite innovative. With the limitied opportunity he got, he has proved that he is pretty innovative yet simple with his creations. The same case goes with manisharma tooo..(try listening to his first movie for chiranjeevi, forgot the movie name starring soundarya,Prakash raj and Anjala Zaveri). He is underrated and hardly any good opportunity to prove.
