his accident was worse than ayrton's. many watched his death live on tv. it was terrible and happened less than 24 hrs after Barrichello's accident on the same track on friday practice (his crash was the most spectacular, no idea how he survived).

an emergency meeting between drivers was arranged and it was headed by .... Senna. Senna in fact had an Austrian (roland's nationality) flag on his cockpit during the race. He wanted to dedicate the victory to Roland.

But then it happened... An accident which changed the landscape of the sport.
