I guess you can still post the song and others can help you find the rest of the info
The moment will arrive when you are comfortable with who you are, and what you are--when you don't feel the need to apologize for anything or to deny anything. To be comfortable in your own skin is the beginning of strength.

I would like to share a song that has an endearing quality which unfortunately lacks in most of the modern songs. The lyrics are by Kannadasan I believe and it was sung by the great P. Susheela. It is a song of a lovelorn damsel who yearns for her erstwhile lover and it goes thus:
Yettaduk-ku maligayil,
Yetri-vaitha yan thalaivan
Vitu-vitu sendraanadi... indru
Verupattu nindraanadi!
She then blames the almighty for her predicament in this play of words:
Kai-yalavu ullam vaithu,
Kadal-pol aasai vaithu
Vilayada vithanadi... avano
Vilayadi vitta-nadi!
Then her advice to young people in this saranam:
Kaalangan ulla vari,
Kanni-yarkkum kalayar-kum
Kathal vara vendamadi... yenthan
Kolam vara vendamadi!
There is pathos, passion and poignancy in this song which wrings the heart of the listener. Sorry, I can remember only the three stanzas and if there are Hubbers who can recollect the rest of the song, please share with me. Thanks.

Mathu,
Here are additional stanzas for the song:
Engae manithar yaarum illayo
Angae enkkor idam vendum
Angae enakor idam vendum
Enathu kaikal meetumpothu,
Veenai azukindrathu
Enathu kaikal thazuvum pothu
Malarum sudukindrathu
Yanna ninaithu ennai padithaan
Iraivan enbavanae
Kannai padaithu, pennai padaitha
Iraivan kodiyavanae...

Yes it is! I was merely quoting the additional stanzas to what Madhu had written. It is a fabulous song and I really love the way TMS had rendered it in Puthiya Paravai. Or was it one of Madhu's older postings that I chanced to read?
