An update on the 2 songs of Rang De Basanti . . .

1. Ru Ba Ru
You are going to love this song, which is a duet sung by ARR himself
and an upcoming male singer (keep guessing). A fantastic melody and
great inspiring lyrics to support it. This song will grow on you, the
very first instance you hear it.

2. Untitled Song
For the first time in the history 2 legends will be singing together
viz. ARR and Lata Mangeshkar. This song like all Arr masterpieces,
will take a long time to get into your system, a sign of an ever-
green song. It is for the first time a music director sings along
with Lata Mageshkar!! Hold your breath, until this song is out !

Rang De Basanti on a whole will be milestone in ARR's career as for
the first time you will get to hear a new sound, and that new sound
will be engineered by one of the most experienced and respected
sound engineers in India, K.J. Singh !! And I bet you, he is a
zillion times better than H. Sridhar!!!

how can ppl say such things. U suddenly decided to bash Sridhar cuz ARR is working with KJ Singh? Jesus.

Also with all due respect Lata's tone is totally torn apart these days. Every one of her latest album made all of us felt like someone younger would have been suitable and listenable! God save us here. I too heard teh songs of RDB and they are mind blowing but I wouldnt bet on Lata's song for sure.

I was also surprised on the poster's comment on H Sridhar. Frankly I havent heard Indian albums better engineered than ARR-Sridhar combo. They are terrific.

Cheers to all rahman fans...Good news

Just spoke to sony bmg...the music will be out on 9th dec....and there
are gona be 10 songs in the audio...a mix of instrumental n songs..isnt that
amazing...

And he also told me that the songs are totally youthfull..and its
gonna be a new Rahman music all together...and Rahman is at his best in this
movie....guys i just cant wait any more...the promos are out on v channel
and will be on all other by 27th sunday....

Although at first it sounds too cheap to be ARR's composition, but the sound keeps haunting you after the second listening.

Hope all the other songs also lives up to the expectations....
