CR, I dont disagree with you on the utility of team building etc - to conveniently steal recent words from equanimus, it is preaching to the converted.
Enna, Networking improves, chances of your team members opening up connections with 'useful' other (supporting function) team members increases. Continuing the digression, in my previous company there used to be a team lunch every month. And only the birthday babies of that month don't get to pay. I mean if there was only one birthday baby for a month and he/she ate for $8.90, we'll(let's say 10 of us) have to pay 89 cents in addition to whatever each of us ate. Management paid nothing
