Great article. But I dont agree to one point mentioned there.

For example, in The Legend of Bhagat Singh, he had composed the song Mera Rang De Basanti Chola. The composition was so Southern that one could not identify it with the Sikh freedom fighter at all.

I felt it had the complete Sikh feel all over. No one will believe that song was composed by a South Indian.

Certainly super article....if theres one thing i like in ARR songs it is the way he uses sounds like instruments in his orchestration. Example of a sound oriented melody...Chinna Chinna Aasai
