    I agree Nerd. I would even say that the violence was engrossing in a perverse way (not many movies can manage that!!). As groucho puts it, it started off well with the background narration heightening expectations. It would have been effective had the focus been on the inner turmoil of the protagonist in finding an identity than on just one murder after another (which is anyway the point).

    BTW, from what wiki says, the book seems much more interesting and perhaps the movie must have lost a great deal in the adaptation.

    Collective film. The Coens' have also done a part of it. Like, 20 odd short movies by different directions of different ethnicities in and around the city. One word... Amazing! (Is it kaambli who referred it here?)

    The part which Coens' made. It has Steve Buscemi in it. But my favourite out of the 20 is not this, anyways...
