Plum, that was a good one. It seems I have to watch the original one. Thanks App for the great info. Kadha nayagan'laam kanakke illama partha padam. Varyiru valikka siricha padangal. If there was a original to that one, who would want to miss that one?

Plum is right. The third part was called Akkare!Akkare!Akkare! that dealt with the robbery of a crown that happens in US and Dasan and Vijayan are sent to investigate the same but it was directed Priyadharshan and so the natural comic flavour of Sathyan was missing and the film flopped. The role of Gopalakrishan Panniker in Sanmanasulavarukku Samadhanam is one of Lal's best performances [IMO]. As app was talking about Illam in hin SPB - IR thread, somebody talked about Chandrasekar song. People should see Srinivasan doing that here[Pavazhamalli poothulainju-or neelavaanam] -hilarious. Sathyan -Lal combo, another unforgettable is Gandhi Nagar II Street and the Nepali goorkha is still fresh in mind. Thanks app for reminding.
Regards

Sorry to be digressing but I really feel that Kerala is ignoring a great artiste, Madhu Balakrishnan. Watching some recent televised Malayalam shows, including the Kerala film awards on Asianet, I get annoyed that the singers who are getting most exposure are the likes of Karthik, who sing Tamil songs in Malayalam shows, or others who move about their arms and legs but can't can't even stick to pitch. Madhu isn't even getting sufficient recording chances since the field is still dominated by older artistes who can no longer sing on stage but are able to sing on records owing to multi-track recording technology. The field is also croweded out by artistes from up north, some of whom can't even pronounce decent Malayalam. Here's a link to a recent gem by Madhu

Good share, iPremZ!
Madhu has an excellent voice, without doubt. I haven't heard any of his Malayalam songs yet and he may have better expressions there. OTOH, I'm not a big fan of his expressions in TFM, romba pAvamA irukkum...

The 1965 movie "kaavyamELa" had two versions of a raagamaalika
"swapnangaL swapnangaL swapnangaLE ningaL...", composed by V. Dakshinamoorthy.
The first one was a duet by K.J. Yesudas and P. Leela, singing for Prem Nazeer and Sheela:
There was another version where the song was presented in a "live" stage
show (gaanamELa) during the college day. The song featured (as themselves)
P. Leela, P.B. Sreenivas, K.J. Yesudas, M.B. Srinivasan and V. Dakshinamoorthy:
