Innoru Mukesh paattu irukku similar to the Milan song in a rebirth theme film - but I doubt if you are referring to that one - it is very obscure.
illai plum, its none of those....
It had a typical rdburman type...peppy, on toes. (late 70z or early 80z)

and words used were janmom or yug or sadhiyon saal etc

many tried to spot the song but in vain.
I have a vague feeling, may be I am forgeting to place it back

My mind makes me picture the song sung somewhere in a beach or may be mountains (quieter places , uninhabited may be)

One strong memory has it that a particular word gets REPEATED.

    like 'sou sou'
    or 'janam janam' ka
    or 'sadhiyon sadhiyon' mein

    etc

In fact the movie itself is pretty good. pAththurukkeengaLA ?

haaaaaaah !! Is this the song?????

janam janam kaa saath hain tumhaaraa humaaraa
agar naa milate is jeewan mein, lete janam dubaaraa

jab se ghoomei dharatee, sooraj chaand, sitaare
tab se meree nigaahe, samaze tere ishaare
rup badal kar saajan maine, fir se tumhe pukaaraa

pyaar ke pankh lagaa ke, door kahee ud jaaye
jahaa hawaayen gam kee, hum tak pahuch naa paaye
khushiyon kee khushaboo se, mahake ghar sansaar humaaraa

rup badal kar saajan maine, fir se tumhe pukaaraa

This line says this is the song I searched

also the beach and quiet surroundings amidst trees...everything is perfect. (though I didn't imagine it would be smita and rajbabbar)

May be this is the song

jab se ghoomei dharatee, sooraj chaand, sitaare

    I even remember this line....

    So this IS the song.

    I am convinced 80 percent, somewhere.....still... I aint sure.

But this song, sates the khoj (search) to a great extent. May be...some song similar... or may be this is the song. Right now my mind is reeling, and I am becoming MAD...so I put this search to rest.

shaktiprabha, rishi kappoor(ivaraukku kapoor-la rendu pa naan poda kaaranamirukku - avlo nafrath ivar mela) fan-aa neenga? Erkanave Saroja Devi vishayathula romba upset pannittennu ninaikkiren - adhukke apdina namma rishi kappoor pathi ellam common-a pesave padadhu

Ok, i have to put up my hands - no idea about the patil-babbar song. Raj babbar-laam total damage case. Avaru nadikkara padam odara theatre-ku 5km radius kitta poradhe riskku. Chance-e illai!

Prabhu Ram, Jewel Thief is a fine movie - saw it as a 20 year old and was impressed endlessly. Ippo paarthappo konjam it didnt stand up. The surprise twist seems quite director's convenience - though he took care to ensure that the initial scenes with Ashok Kumar-Vyjyanthi are open to intrepretation, it wasnt so great a ambibuity. Adhavadhu, I feel with surprise endings, a second viewing should make you feel "che idhai epdi miss panninen - ivlo neat-a clue kuduthirkkane director" appadinnu. Adhu i couldnt feel here - even though I can see that every single dialogue in the initial scenes are ambigious and open to interpretation and are neatly tied up in the climax.

The best song, IMO, of the album would be...the great one with Rafi entering "O....Shalu". The percussion and the rhythm based prelude - wow! Evlo instruments - how beautifully used. RD Burman-ukku oru salaam!
