Balu Thevar of Vedham Puthithu was one terrific performance !!!! :P ... That movie is there in my top 10 fav movies ....
He would have potrayed the old man character with such ease !! ... One of my most fav performance as well ....
I will be running out of words to describe that movie and him !

The politician character in Amaidhi Padai was tailor-made for him. Satyaraj's casual demeanour is what makes the character so memorable.

Satyaraj, the politician gets up from the floor swaying, on seeing his son.
Son: "Enna thalladura? vayasayiduchilla.."
Father: "illae, mabbu.. ithana round adichuum mabbu eralainna indha keragaththa edhukku kudikkanum?"

The best of all his movies ... I would rate Amaidhi Padai

Every dialogue in that movie got life by his excellent delivery ! he really did justice to the role of Amavasai or Nagaraja Chozhan ...

Whoa! I didn't expect a thread for Sathyaraj.

I am a big fan of his. Always thought of it as a guilty pleasure, because...let's admit it...he made more crappy movie than good ones. But when he is good, he is really good.

What amazes me is the way he had been surviving all these years. With wig and sometimes fake moustache, and being too tall, too muscular, can't dance, stiff fighting, etc. Amazing isn't it.

But if there is one thing that belongs to Sathyaraj, it has to be the Lollu talk. And let me tell you, it takes brain to understand his sarcasm, teases, etc.

Take Maha Nadigan. Those who don't know what is going on the film industry and politics, will never get the jokes.

Of recent, I think he did well in Maran. Nothing great about the film, except for Sathyaraj's performance. He shows that he still has the 'it' factor.

I never wanted to meet stars if I were to come to Chennai. It used to be Sivaji Ganesan. Now, if given chance, I'd definitely like to meet Sathyaraj...as I hear that he is fun to be with. I have seen his interviews and boy, he is really funny.

If this thread is alive, I shall discuss further some of his good movies.
