A melancholy solo by PS. While the other solo(sugamo aayiram) became popular todays solo was less aired and less heared.
TIP is a super azhugachi film with Sujatha, Sivakumar etc. The film had another solo by BSS that was along the lines of 'amma pasikkudhe thaiye pasikkudhe' song. Cant the remember the first line though.

sarigamapadhani is one of my favourite VJ songs

Almost forgot about it because it has been a long time since I heard it though it is one of the unforgettable gems of VJ

There is another song in TIM. Lyrics of vaarthai illamaal reminds me of vaasamilla malaridhu by TR.. adikka varaadheengappa

I am sure idhu Bala murali krishna voice dhan.ENaku ninaivu iruku.RAdiovil kettu irukaen.Sometime sila songs ellam pidikaradho,pidikalaiyo manadhil irukum.BMK voice il sila film songs appadi manadhil padhindhu iurku.

In film Navarathinam there is a song sung by BMK with VJ music by Kunnakudi.Andha timeil vnadha songaga idhuvum irukalam.

Ramki -

PS always does such tunes with an interesting stoicism. It always feels as if she is standing outside the character (in the film) and actually deciphering the meanings behind the expressions. I like PS for this "stylistic" aspect she introduces in many such songs. There is nary a false treble or excessive note, and yet the meloncholy is fully formed, heavy without the heaving.
