He was also a Social Activist, who was also nominated for the NAACP Award.

NAACP = The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, or NAACP, is one of the oldest and most influential civil rights organizations in the United States.

He Actively Participated iN Several NAACP Meetings, and Gave Influential Speeches.

In His Rap Songs, He Exposed the Hardhips OF Ghetto Lifestyles, Police Brutality, Police Racism, The Slanted And Bias Treatement The Ghetto Gets From The Govt Which Stops The Ghetto From Growing, etc.

He Created An Awakening Amoung Black Youth, About The Slanted Govt, and Also Exposed To The World The Enormous Amout Of Talent The Ghetto Held, And The World Ignored Through The Institution He Started. "Tupac's Center For The Arts."

Earlier around 1993 Tupac Amaru Shakur was Shot 5 Times, In A Studio. 2 Bullets Were Put Into His Head, 1 In His Back, and 2 In His Genital Area.

He Survived. Not Only Did He Survive, But He Checked Himself Out Of The Hospitial Just Hours After His Operation.

He Lived For Another 3 Years, Joined Death Row Records.

He Was Shot Again In 1996, This Time, 5 Bullets Were Pushed Into His Chest, In Las Vegas When He Was Returning From Watching A Mike Tyson Fight. He was 25 Years Old.
