    Thanks a lot Mala (reliable as always ). 'unmayil' seems to be the better choice, since 'nadaimurai' can be translated as 'in practice'. I also hit upon the word 'asalil'. Looks like we have a range.

    For Eagle, Vulture etc, "Kazhugu" is the Tamil word.
