    small correction...for Palinginaal oru maaligai, its not Manorama but a telugu actress I think by name Vijaya nirmala or some other name ( she also played a villie role in Nootrukku nooru of KB )
    the other cast was Jaishankar

    Yes. You are right. I think she only acted as Villi in the Vijaykanth movie "Senthura Poovae"

    manorama as that aachee character with extended tooth in Chinna gownder was all fun coupled with seriousness .
    this is another classic example of her prowess .

    She is the one termed as Lady Shivaji by many including Shivaji.
    That statement itself is more than enough to say abt her talents.

    How many of you have watched Manorama's stage play EN VEEDU EN KANAVAR EN KUDUMBAM....

    Its superb acting from her.

    its the story of a middle class Brahmin lady in the late 40s going through the entire life cycle with her experience ....
    multiple display of emotions from aachi and every scene will be touchy and emotional ....
    I could see another Nadigar thilagam in that drama !

    I wish you all watch that drama as it is one of the best portrayals of Manorama the great
