    and i think most of the sarees on sale online don't look nice. they have much nicer designs in the store and also you can't tell properly abt the saree from a pic on the net.
    Actually Fire i didn't post that site for the sarees per se, nor am i advocating buying those or other saree online I was rather pointing out the the fabric that Lambretta kept referring to, I don't really like any of them...really you can't tell the difference between the crepe silk and say chiffon/silk/nylon/satin? Of course you can tell better in the shop...I'll put up an advertisement for hubbers in sampling a variety of fabrics the moment I open up a store of my own :P
    i can kind of tell that it's different. but there are so many different materials nowadays. so it's hard to tell which one it is. i mean of course chiffon is obvious cos it's transclucent, satin is very smooth. but u can't really tell too much abt the rest. u can get all kinds of silk as well. so i don't see how pix can be any true representation of the material.
    ~~~Believe. Just saying - I can do it, can give surprising results. ~~~
    Yea reaction same here-
    Though sometimes I kinda feel left out cause I never know what the latest trend is...i just buy what i like whatever the trend is...
    Trust me, ur better off Not knowing wat sum of the latest 'trends' r!
    And yea, it'd always feel better at the end of the day, to know tat u've bought wat u like......
    but you know people always have to comment that you are not conforming
    Give sum of them a message from me:
    Pppbbbttttt! (rude noise) Nyanyaninyahnyah....!
    http://www.homeindia.com/catalogue/apparel/silkcrepe/
    is this what you mean by crepe silk Lambretta?
    Yup, these r the ones! Tks, glad u cud find sum better pics. of them!
    Wow, the ones in page 1 atleast look gr8!
    Esp. the red & blue (in this case I dont mean the Sarees only! ).....
    But I wonder y the blue Saree's (page 1) referred to as Chiffon?
    Doesnt look so at all......in the bigger version of the pic. it seems very much Crepe only....
    Rather the green one & the Cream w/ dark green design look like chiffon ones; they r rather translucent.....
    And the first site I've seen showing high-necked blouses!
    I wonder if they r coming back into fashion (they did make a comeback once, in the '80s)......
    I thought crepe meant flat pancake french style :P kidding i really thought for some reason that crepe meant it would be the crinkled/crushed design...
    Nope, those r different.....I think they r called tissue silk or sumthing.....I dont like tat texture much either!
    anyways here's link showing what the fabric looks like:
    http://www.baronboutique.com/crepe.htm
    Yea those r crepe ones, except for the orange one.....the wrinkled design makes it look more like a tissue silk one.....
    Crepe, on closer look, has a metallic paint-like lustre....as the other ones in these pics...I like them best in dark colours!
    This one is from Ullasa Paravaigal....
    coincidentally, this comment of mine in my post:
    Jus reminded me of Kamal's dialogue in SR wher he says "beautiful" & tells Sridevi "intha vaati naan kerhcief-ey sollaley"....
