    Hi D,

Thanks for the info, though it is not good news to hear. I remember reading his short stories, which had a fine sense of narration. I have read a few of the Manikoddi writers and I have always admired their narrative style. N.Picchamoorthi comes to my mind particularly. I had the opportunity to meet Mr.M.V.Venkatram personally at Sourashtra College, Madurai where he was honoured for his award. He was a very simple man, had a very fine hold on the genre of novels, and above all since being acquainted with some of the finest tamil writers, had a very good sense of the direction of developing the genre of novels and short stories in Tamil language. He had a fine sense of his roots in the Sourashtra language too, coming from the community that speaks that language (he expressed it very beautifully in a few of his short stories).

By the bye, I was interested in reading his article from that link. But the page doesn't show me the full text, or it appears obscure. And when I reload or refresh it, it just disappears. Is there any special technique I need to use to read ‚é‘Å ±€« ?
