    japanese guy needs help

hi there (sorry for my english),

this is my first post on this forum, though i read it occasionlly. im a japanese dude working in canada right now. a few years ago somehow i got interested in tamil film but music in particular , at first only arrrahman (probably due to muthu movie which has some japan fans) but now others too.

problem is, dont understand most of it, and not a lot of translated songs available easilly. so i wonder if anyone would mind being an email-friend who can translate some songs into english that i ask. unfortunately don't have much to return maybe answer questions about japan if you are interested?

if you like the idea, please email me tyamamoto@mail.com

    thank you for reading

    Welcome to Hub J Zhang!

Since you have already registered here, why don't you continue participating in the discussions here.

I am sure many people here would help in any way they can.

    Muthu had the following songs:

    1. Kuluvalilae
    (Muthu came to Kuluvali)

    2. Oruvan Oruvan
    (There is only one boss)

    3. Thilana Thilana
    (Final section of classical dance)

    4. Kokku Saiva Kokku
    (Unique hen)

    5. Vidu Kathaiya
    (Life is a puzzle)

Hi, you can call me toshio, my user name is from a movie.

i should say, I don't need "muthu" translations. actually we have Japanese DVD with Japanese subtitle already!

I am interested in other AR Rahman songs, like

    Vellai Pookal - KAnnathil Muthamuttal
    Anbe Ithu - Rhythm
    En Veetu Thotathil - Gentleman

these films I use english dvds to understand. unfortyunately many times there is no translation in the songs!

You are at the right place Toshio!

Vellai pookkal is an excellent song with excellent lyrics. If someone else doesnt do it for you, I will within the next 24 hours.

By the way, AR Rahman's latest album from the film Endhiran (Robot) starring Rajni Kanth, will be launched this Saturday at Kuala Lumpur.
Besides Rahman and Rajni, the film's heroine Aiswariya Rai (former Miss World), will be attending the launch.

Book your ticket to Kuala Lumpur now!

As white flowers bloom everywhere in this world,
As a war-torn world quietens for the sake of peace,
As yellow light falls on the sand,
As the flowers wake, stretching their leaves wide,
Let the children wake,In the warmth of the world,
    Let the world dawn,
In the laugh of the first new child,
As white flowers bloom everywhere in this world,
As a war-torn world quietens for the sake of peace,
As yellow light falls on the sand,
As the flowers wake, stretching their leaves wide,
Let the children wake,In the warmth of the world,
    Let the world dawn,
As white flowers bloom everywhere in this world,
As a war-torn world quietens for the sake of peace,
    The words the wind speaks,
    The songs the rain sings,
Will a silence or a joy reveal to us?A thousand boons,
    The words of the poet,
Will a teardrop or a kiss give to us?
    Ah-ha-ha-ha, ah-ha-ha,
As white flowers bloom everywhere in this world,
As a war-torn world quietens for the sake of peace,
As yellow light falls on the sand,
As the flowers wake, stretching their leaves wide,
    Where do you travel, child?
Why do you stretch your arms?
Are you reaching for that distant moon?
    Where is the human species?
Will it finally tire and rest?
Above them, will not the dove coo?
As white flowers bloom everywhere in this world,
As a war-torn world quietens for the sake of peace,
As yellow light falls on the sand,
    As the flowers wake,
    stretching their leaves wide,
As white flowers bloom everywhere in this world(bloom),
As a war-torn world quietens for the sake of peace(quietens)...

    Translation

Ask the flowers at my home garden,
Ask all the windows at my home,
    Ask my coconut grove now,
    They will tell ur name.

Ask the flowers at ur home garden,
Ask all the windows at ur home,
Ask your cococnut grove one by one,
    They will tell my heart.

A lady singer should not be silent,
Lock on the music is not done on a female,
If all bees huzzle then garden cant withstand,
And if buds sound then bees cant hear,
After aadi(its a season) the cauvery(river) wont wait,
After aadhi the alipoo(flower) does not close,
    wishes vibrating.

Without the permission of 'telling' i came to tell,
there's meaning in 'tell' so i stood without telling,
theres no distance between 'tell' and 'meaning'
No love reaches heaven without telling,
Even if counting ends kisses doesn't,
    And if u count,kisses doesn't happen,
