"Kavikko" Abdul Rahman - the unsung Giant

    Topic started by Senthamizhan (@ 1cust211.tnt15.phl1.da.uu.net) on Mon Aug 13 16:56:45 .

Abdul Rahman - the magical poet literateur, had always remained outside the limelight. He was the one who pioneered all new forms of poetry in the modern literary scene, especially after the 60's.

His "PalVeethi" is a trend setter of sorts. The metaphors and similes that he uses created a revoluiton in the thought process of poetic depictions.

I would sincerely wish that the friends and literary critics in the forum, discuss about the Life× and the works of Kavikko...

I am an ardent fan of kavikko. He is not going to lose out from being outside the limelight. It is the tamil literature that loses all the fame.

The people who claim that tamil should get international recognition, should really try to translate kavikko's excellent poems in English.

The non-tamils will be amazed to read his poems and might even reward him a noble prize.

    GOD BLESS ABDUL RAHMAN

Leaving aside the literary glib of Thiru.Abdur Rahman, his musings over "Avvai" etc., are totally unhistorical, as he simply play with words without any evidences.

    Yours faithfully,
    VEDAPRAKASH.
