    News from Mr.Vijayan(Muthu Comics Editor)

    Topic started by Basant (@ proxy2-external.avnl1.nj.home.com) on Fri Jun 1 18:24:43 .

Mr. Vijayan, the editor of Lion Comics, has posted the following in the old Muthu Comics thread:

    http://forumhub.com/tlit/20648.03.46.30.html

Since that thread is no longer visible in the forum contents page, I decided to start a new thread and repost his message. Here is the message:

    <blockquote><font face="verdana" size=1>From: S.Vijayan (Editor) (@ 61.1.208.92) on: Thu May 31 09:33:46 </font>

    Friends,

It was great fun browsing through so much of messages regarding Muthu Comics. I notice that most of you are disappointed with the present size & quality of the COMICS CLASSICS reprints. Personally I share those feelings too.

To set things right - we intend bringing out the next issue (Kollaikara Pisasu - Mayavi adventure)in the original format with hard cover and better paper as well. If the response is encouraging - further issues will continue in the new format. (Am keeping my fingers crossed).

Thanks a lot for your interest.

    Hello All!
Thanks to ERB for the address of Rani comics. I'm told that there are a large number of other comic companies in India and I would very much like to get their addresses so I can contact them for my next article.
PLEASE pass on any details as time is short and I have to complete my article soon! If anyone can also provide a scan of the cover of any Indian comic covers other than MUTHU/DIAMOND it would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Terry

    Dear Basant,
My SINCERE APOLOGIES for mispelling your name!! My only excuse is that when I wrote the message I was doing a lot of research on the Belgian town of BRABANT. No insult was intended.

For those of you who want to learn more about ROBOT ARCHIE,THE SPIDER and many other heroes please check out the following:

    http://www.internationalhero.co.uk/nonus.htm

I'll be helping not just with the British comics section but providing information on Indian comic book heroes as well.

Sadly,I've had no responses from Rani,Lion/Muthu or Diamond so I have to base this Indian section on my own meagre collection!

Indian heroes probably won't be included until the new year but I'll let everyone know when its set up.
    Regards,
    Terry
