Bhagyaraj is Jeyam Ravi's dad now
IndiaGlitz [Monday, March 06, 2006]
Actor-director K Bhagyaraj, who is back to acting after directing Parijatham, is flooded with offers to act now.
Having completed Parijatham, he seems to be accepting the offers coming his way.
Besides a couple of films he is currently acting, Bhagyaraj has now accepted to play Jeyam Ravi's father in Something Something, a movie being directed by Raja.
Something Something is a remake of Telugu blockbuster Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana directed by choreographer turned director Prabhu Deva.
Trisha plays the heroine in the movie.

No offense to his fans...but I think that BR cannot match PR in this role....I don't who has seen the movie...
But Prakash plays a rich, classy NRI, in Something Something...and he was the father of the 21st century and was suave...BR wouldn't bring much class to the role, due to his age and his time...but whatever, it should be good regardless...

Bhagyaraj in DMK. To campaign against Jaya?
April 05, 2006
At no other time is the film politics nexus in Tamilnadu more prominent than during the run up to elections. Every poll season, throws up its own band of film celebrities who participate in the political process either as star campaigners or contestants. Depending upon the pulling power, the stars are assigned responsibilities and political posts.
This time is no different and we have been witness to the unfolding drama for the past couple of months. First was the launch of Vijayakanth’s party and then the plunge by Karthik, Murali and Senthil. Not to be left behind, the ladies were led by Kushboo who was widely rumored to be pitted against Stalin in Thousand lights constituency withdrew after her infamous comments.
Now it is the turn of Simran, Vindhya and a couple of other minor starlets to display their political leanings. How effective their presence would be at the poll is still a mystery.
Now comes the news that K. Bhagyaraj has joined DMK. He met party President, K. Karunanidhi at Anna Arivalayam today and expressed his solidarity. It is interesting to note that Bhagyaraj had been declared the heir apparent in ADMK by none other than MGR himself. He fell out of favor with JJ and then floated his own party. Mired in debt and other problems, he bid goodbye to politics. Now making a comeback in films, he must have thought that this was the right time to be seen in the public eye. It is rumored that he would campaign against JJ in Andipatti.
