    Silverware?

    Can someone tell me how to clean silver statues?

    I have a couple of bronze & silver showpieces. I was told that tamarind or "bhasmam" ( don't know where to get that) is used to clean bronze/brass ware. But silver? Can I use detergent?

    Thanks in advance!

    //bhasmam//

    Bhasmam is what you apply on forehead (dried cow dung powder).

    If you want to buy it you should try some store where Puja goods are sold.

    Alan,
    Here is a website that has some tips.

    All you have to do is google search for cleaning silverware. You will get more than what you need!
