Actually, IR & MSV should not take these awards now. It is too late to recognise them. As it stands, the award is honoured by them receiving it now rather than the other way around. I dont want a Padma Vibhooshan for MSV now. Let it be as it is.

More than being a hopeful thought, I think this is a realistic possibility. I'm basically projecting the same trick they've employed with Raaja to MSV here. To give the Padma Shri to Raaja so late (okay, let me spell it out: after Rahman) would have been a travesty. So they waited and gave him a Padma Bhushan when they wanted to give it to Rahman (who obviously shook the whole of India last year well enough to win any of these awards!).
