Kathakali is totally different from these art forms and needs deep knowledge about it even to uderstand. It is not just a dance form. Please remove it from this poll and add Mohiniyattam... I wonder how you missed it out... the dance form giving importance to the Lasya bhava more and with unique presentation...

all these dances have its own styles and are unique in its own forms. If one gives more importance to bhavam, another for the thalam, and some for balance etc. each of these need dedication and hardwork to learn and perform.. maybe the reason we have very few all rounders in all these with deep knowledge in each, but we do have excellent artists who specialized any of these...

Bharathanatyam is national dance of India.
As with all other art forms, it is supposed to have come from Lord Shiva.
It is wonderful dance form.
Kalakshetra, chennai, started by the Great Rukmini Devi, is the Mecca of bharathanatyam now.
