What message he was giving to public through this song?

It is not a rumour!

I do accept that Many of the MGR's fans could be chain smokers. The point is not that. Even if few of his followers changes their mind after watching his movies that is more than enough. Atleast nobody will start smoking/ drinking beacause of his movies. I think that itself is more than enough.

I dont have any data as you asked. I know 2 persons saying they stopped smoking once they become fans of MGR.

1. My Father.
2. My Neighbour who is of same age as my Father.

Also i have come across certain people who started smoking by looking at their star smoke in the screen. They started it as a style and got addicted.

If you believe it or not that is the truth.

Also being an MGR fan I never smoked/ drank in my life for the past 27 years.

Without any knowledge dont talk rubbish. The movie Idayakani came after he come out of DMK who were ruling at that time. Where is the question of Political Influene
