Pavalakodiyile muthukal poothal ( Panam padaithavan )
A week end song ofThalaivar from Panam padaithavan.
The interesting aspect of this song is that L.R.Iswari just does the humming part while TMS is the lead singer but so lilting is that humming that one will get tempted to hear again for the humming .
And MSV cleverly uses the humming as a part of the interludes !
A dream song ofcourse

Kanpona pokile kal pogalama is another gem from the same movie !
Happy week end

Kannil vandhu minnal is one of MGR's evergreen classics ! Look at the picturisation . So innovative and altogether different those days !!
Suradha wrote the song . I believe MGR liked the words Neela vaanam illadha oorey illai.
Thanks for the link

Terrific accordion and trumphut interludes by mellisai mannar
Outstanding lyric from POOVAI SENGUTTUVAN. I use to wonder why he sidlined for MGR songs after this fantastic song.
I am very eager to see this song sequence.

Vannakili sonna mozi ( Deiva thai )
Deivathai has one spell binding Oru pennai parthu nilavi parthen !
Another different style of rhythm adopted by MSV-TKR for Puratchi Thalaivar movie ! A handsome MGR giving mild dance movements with Saroja Devi who looks absolutely gorgeous & majestic !
Kannai manamaligayil kaaval nirkavaa ?
Ange kaval nindra mannavanai kai pidikavaa !
Athipaza kannathile killi vidavaa ( when TMS sings this, it will look as if TMS himself has killified Saroja Devi )
for which PS says
Indha oorai innum naan azaithu solli vidavaa
Alli vizi thulli viza kobam ennavo ??
Inge anji anji kolluvadhil laabam ennavo ?
For the 2nd charanam, the prelude was a nice improvisation with PS doing a solo humming
The song ends in a nice manner with lala lala lala
I like the sharp usage of piano , guitar and occasional flute also
Puratchi thalaivare , nalla padalgalukkagave ungalai naangal endrendum ninaivil vaithukondirupom
