My all-time favorite of Nagesh is Ethir neechal!! (Adi Poodi Paythiyakaari!!) that is just one of the good scenes in the movie

It is not easy to select the best of Nagesh just in 10 or 11 movies. Even if you select very specials, definitely it will come not less than 200. 'Edhai serpathu, edhai viduvathu?'.

Whether it is a good movie or a bad movie, whether a succes movie or flop movie, whether it is a big star movie or ordinary hero's movie.... regading Nagesh, he will shine in his role perfectly well.

About THIRUVILAIYAADAL 'DHARUMI':
Here we should mention the tactice of Director APNagarajan to make that scene suiccess.

He made Sivan (Sivaji) to talk in 'Senthamizh' (pure Tamil) and Dharumi (Nagesh) in 'Pechuthamizh' (ordinery Tamil). That helps that scene more success.

If 'Sivan' talk in pechuthamizh, it will not be acceptable, at the same time if Dharumi talk in Senthamizh, he cant express his feelings and blabberings as it now.

But APN, rendaiyum mix panni, kurai theriyaamal, arputhamaaga seythiruppaar. It is one of the glittering stone in Nagesh's crown.

Thanks to the initiator of this thread. I think Nagesh is a gift to Tamilnadu filmdom and to us, his fans. What's amazing is his natural reaction to his costars' dialogues in comedy scenes. alwarpet_andaven had mentioned MMKR in his list of movies. In one of the scenes, KH accuses Nagesh of misappropriating 25 lakhs and he denies it.

KH: oru davada eduththannu sollunga, unga ponnu kalyanaththa naan nadaththi vaikkaren
Nagesh: Sir, Andha panaththa naan (KH braces up his confession) edukkale sir..

and in the following scene
Nagesh: indha avinasi oru visuvasi sir.
KH: visuvasamna ungalukku artham theriyuma avinasi
(and asks Bheem to jump out of the window). idhu dhaan visuvasam. sari, ungalukku oru massam time tharen..
Nagesh: ippadi gudhichhu pazhagaradhukka? oru varusham aanalum mudiyathu sir!

The first film for Nagesh is 'ThAyillA PiLLai' in 1961.

But he became fame in 'Nenjil Ore Alayam' in 1962.

Kadhalikka nerammilai

This movie will have the best combination in Ballaiyaa and Nagesh.....Every moment of this movie when Nagesh comes across Ballaiyaa will be hilarious...

Especially the scene when Nagesh and his music troup will be doing rehearsals in the Guest house and when Ballaiyaa tries to bring in Muthuraman and Ravichandran to make them stay in their Guest house...
Nagesh will casually introduce to Ballaiyaa... EVAR DHAAN KRISHNAGIRI KITTAPAA.... and with a pause... he will tell that Kittappa... ENGAPAA.... PRODUCER.....

Ofcourse... the scence when Nagesh explains the story to Ballaiyaa.... the best scene in that movie..... Even today one can enjoy watching that .... I WILL GIVE MY FULL VOTE TO BALLAIYAA FOR THAT SCENE PURELY FOR HIS FACIAL AND BODY REACTIONS TO NAGESH'S Story telling......
