    Raghu...

The lowest ever was 42 in Old trafford against England in 1974 !
I remember the top scorer was Eknath solkar ..16 runs and he hit a six also !

and the captain was Ajit wadekar....

he was treated with chappals when he landed Mumbai airport after this series...

Earlier the same Wadekar brought us cheers in the series against England in 1971 when we won 1-0 !! and there was red carpet welcome

    Becks....

These are the aspects Greg Chappell should address and accord top priority.....He should never allow the team to relax...irrespective of the staus of the test....

Infact, Greg should have made Indians play more positively and aggressively and should have made them go berserk against the lankan bowlers...to have a psychological advantage !!

All these aspects... a normal Australian team will resort to.....

Initially, the way Sehwag was batting, i thought his idea was to entertain the crowd. But once he and Gambhir got out..Dravid/Tendulkar played like a test match.Anyways we will wait for the second match.

Btw anybody saw Aus Vs NZ second one day today excellent treat..Aus scored 322/5 in 50 Overs..NZ scored 320 all out in 49.5 Overs..

A proud moment for every Indian Cricket lover

Its more significant in the sense the stupendous record of one legend is being over taken over by another legend and both are Indians !

Indeed its a great day for Indian cricket...

If Sachin God willing maintains his fitness levels for another 4 years , we can expect atleast a minimum of 10 - 12 centuries which means the tally will touch 45 to 47 or may be 50 centuries ......

and its going to be a tall order for any future generation cricketer to achieve that milestone

More satisfying about yesterday's century was when it was needed by the team ....

    Lets salute the little master

Murali's performance is outstanding ! against a team who are tradionally best players of spin bowling , this guy had done well on DAY 1 ITSELF ! Probably this is the first test for Murali in India ??

    Kumble ...the lion hearted bowler....

Time and again he proved to be a match winner...running through a side single handedly

Irfan's promotion was a masterly move by the team management ! these are the innovations and smart risks / decisions one has to take to counter a team of Australian standard

Good to see Ganguly scoring 40 but ideally he should be persisted for one dayers and not for test matches...wonder what could be the basis for this ?

Sachin's century will carry weight and more value in this interesting test...so also will be of Pathan's knock....

PITCH .... I wonder when we will change our attitude ?? looks like a spinner's paradise ??
When can we see bouncy pitches ??

why are u expecting bouncy pitches in india?....are spinners not a part of a cricket team?...there are only bouncy pitches all over the world except the subcontinent...if u ask us also to change our pitch, spinners need not be there in a cricket team...let all of them be fast bowlers..as all the pitches are for fast bowlers

in new zealand...the pitches are only for pace bowling...does anyone ask to them to make pitches for spinners?

    spinners -na avlo kevalama?
