This is a real great recipe for mushroom briyani. Even people who don't like mushroom would like this briyani.
Ing: onions 1 finely chopped, button mushroom 200gms clean it and chop it into 4, tomatoes 1 chopped, ginger garlic pate 2tsp, garammasala powder 2tsp, curd 1 laddle, turmeric powder 1/2 tsp, basmathi rice 1 cup, cilantro for garnishing.

soak basmathi rice in 2 1/2 cups of water for atleast 30 mins.
Heat 6tblsp oil in a kadai and fry the onions till they turn light brown [make sure they are brown] then add the ginger garlic paste and fry till the raw smell goes. Then add the tomatoes, curd or the yoghurt, mushrooms and the turmeric powder. stir well till they are mixed. then close the lid and leave it for 5 mins. the mushroom would leaveout water in which it would get cooked. after the mushrrom gets cooked, simmer the stove and wait for the water to evapourate and the oil will then start leaking out, now add the garamasal powder stir for few secs and add it to the uncooked basmathi rice along with salt and cook as for any briyani in rice cooker or pressure cooker. garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve with raitha or chips.
