La La La ILayaivaLE ...
What a fantastic number from Vidyasagar. Of true MSV vintage. Brought back Manmadha Leelai/NinaithalE inikkum days. The flute in the first interlude, oh God, absolutely fabulous. Hats off, melody genius Vidyasagar. No other new song, not even, Munbe va, appeals to me as much as this beautiful gem.

I nominated it for the Song of the Year, but no one noticed it then.

Yes, NOV, I agree -- of SPB vintage also. I liked the song when I watched it on screen (I had the chance to watch the movie in PVR cinemas in Bangalore during my recent trip to India and enjoyed the whole movie) but due to other activities did not look at the nominated list carefully enough here on the hub. Else I would have surely voted for it instead of Munbe vA.
yvsmani, the Hitler Penne number is also a good one. KB's touch is there in both the songs.

sat_srini the trailor has been there for quite long but hopefully now it gets more notice...the guitar usage in the song is exceptionally rendered..man i cant wait for the songs to come out. Perhaps VS may not be a all rounder but when it comes to melodies...he is the king of the current crop now. I feel atrai thingal was not given proper recognition
