black salt

hello friends
i was wonderign if anyone can tell me how kosher is the black salt we use. i use to add flavor to the fruits adn juices.
may be hemantji can answer my query.
the other day i had sprinkled it on apples. the salt had melted but i found small specks of black dots on the fruit. hence this doubt.

Even I am interested to know more about this Black salt. Is it a taste enhancer or can it be substituted in place of regular salt. If somebody knows more about it pls post the info....
