Ilayaraja's symphony - Why has it not been released?

It was a matter of great pride to Indians & tamilians in particular, when Ilayaraja was invited to compose & conduct a symphony with the New York Philaharmonic orchestra.

But till today, it has not been released. This led to some even saying that it was not composed at all & was just a gimmick.

Can anybody give the real picture?

Last time I went to london (2 weeks ago), I asked some shop owners, They told me that it will only release on may or june 2005 ....
