What presents to be bought?
My brother has gone to Los Angeles three months ago and is coming back in July. He has asked each of us what presents we want. Something that is not available in India.
I'm planning to ask for a perfume or something. What should my parents, sister & brother-inlaw ask for?
Thanks!

Okay Niranjana - here's a few things I would ask for, Pa!
Deodorants - Yes, you do have some nice mild scented ones that you could ask for.
Perfumes - Definitely more choices although not necessarily cheaper!
Chocolates - Ask for nice crunchy almond flavoured Hershey Bars!!
Craft Books - If you are into cross-stitching, quilting etc; they do have excellent books you could ask for!!
Shoes - I went berserk with joy at their choices, Pa!! They even had them in width sizes which was so new to me!! You could go for a size 6 - narrow or wide!! It's such a god-sent to Asians who go bare foot most of the time at home, hence we have wider feet, particularly the toes which are more splayed out.
Clothes - If you are into good branded ones!! Or nice knitted ones, if you'd like them better than the ones in India.
Towels - I went a bit crazy in the store for some reason!! Anyway, the fluffy, big ones are a joy!!

Computer accessories are much cheaper even now, laptop is a good choice. Perfumes yes. If he had gone places he could get some souvenirs. I had got a Certified Coin made of broken pieces of Statue of Liberty.
Make sure whatever you ask are small in size. Poor guy has to carry it.
Nirosha,
Towels are bulky and so total waste of space. Remember extra luggage cost almost as much as a flight ticket.

Niranjana,
I am sure no one in this hub bears any illwill towards you. And why would they? You are so innocent and harmless.
It is just that your topic is so frivolous and doesn't call for a serious discussion. So we thought we could have a bit of a fun pulling your leg. Believe me we would have done the same, even if a senior hubber had started a thread like this. The only thing is, a senior hubber wouldn't do it knowing what he would let himself in for.
And also believe me we all surely care about you. You will know as you progress in this hub.
