Tks for the info. NOV! And um....pardon my ignorance of wat happens to be a popular song but I might explain tat I was born & brought up in AP where the native lang. is not Tamil.......so didn't get to hear Tamil songs too often......esp. not old ones!

I hap'd to know this song only bcos I was in Singapore for a couple of years & wud often hear old Tamil sogns on the local radio, esp. whenever I'd go out to eat in "Little India".......

Hi again.......
I need help identifying an old ('60s) tamil song tat I can't rem. the lyrics of......it starts w/ the word "Happy......"
I only rem. the tune of this song.......I did see this movie (no idea abt the name!) starring Saroja Devi (forgot the actor!) on TV once......this song "Happy....." comes nearly at the end of the movie......I believe this is a very popular song too......
I wish my query was furnished w/ more details......but this is all I can rem. I'm afraid!

Glad if ne-one cud help me identify the song/the movie it was from so I cud find it online.......tks in advance for ur help!

Is it "Happy...indru muthal happy"... from Ooty Varai Uravu-1967....??/.

But it is not Sarojadevi. It is KRVijaya & Shivaji.

Yours may be some other one.

i have asked this qstn to a no of people like manisegaran,
satya kabali etc, but am yet to get an answer. can u help
me identify the film from which the following song has been
sung and its md.

the song is sung by tms and p leela
it goes like this.

vaazhkai odam, oda vendum, sendru karai sera vendum
inbam sendru karai sera vendum.

it's a medolious wonderful song as the charam became fast-paced and then the pallavi goes back to a lilting tune.

Tks for the info.......this is certainly the song I'm looking for.....maybe I wrongly rem'd the heroine as Saroja Devi......

However, I tried searching for this song on raaga.com, megacinema & oosai.com but cudn't find it!

If u know of a site where link to this song is available, do let me know.....Tks again!
