how to make dosas
Can anybody tell the proportion to be used for making dosa batter when using jasmine rice or thailand rice

I'm scared jasmi rice/thai rice wouldn't suit for making idli/dosa batter... U can try using roasted ground rice flour & urad dhal flour that's available in shops. just mix it in the proportion of 3:1...add salt & let rest for 8-10 hrs.

Hi Guhapriya,
The above method works fine for dosa...U can change the ratio if U want to by increasing rice flour by another 1/2 cup to get crisp dosas...But I've so far not succeeded in making idlis using store bought rice & urad flours...It would be good if someone can explain how to make idlis using the flours...
