TG Lingappa passed away

Yesterday TG Lingappa passed away due to a heart
attack. I found that the archives has no discussion
about him. Except that he tuned songs such as
amudhai pozhiyum nilavE and chiththiram
pEsudhadi I know very little about TGL's works.
Can some one who is knowledgeable give more details
about TGL and his works?
