அஜித் படத்துக்கு வேதாளம் என்று பெயர் வைத்துவிட்டார்கள். இந்தப்பெயர் அவர்களுக்குக் கிடைத்தது பற்றி ஒரு கதை இருக்கிறது. பல பெயர்களைப் பரிசீலித்துவிட்டு கடைசியில் வேதாளம் என்று முடிவு செய்ததும் வழக்கம்போல் அந்தப்பெயரும் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டிருந்ததாம்.

பதிவு செய்து வைத்திருந்தவர் லாரன்ஸ். காஞ்சனா 2 வெற்றியைத் தொடர்ந்து இந்தப்படத்தில்தான் அவர் நடிப்பதாக இருந்ததாம். சூரி எனும் புதியவர் எழுதி இயக்குவதாகவும் இருந்ததாம். அதற்கு முன்பாக வேந்தர்மூவிஸ் நிறுவனத்துக்கு இரண்டுபடங்கள் செய்துவிடலாம் என்று லாரன்ஸ் முடிவுசெய்துவிட்டதால் இந்தப்படத்தைத் தள்ளி வைத்திருந்தார்களாம்.

இந்நிலையில் அஜித் படத்துக்கு இந்தப்பெயர் வேண்டும் என்று கேட்டவுடன் இயக்குநரும் லாரன்ஸ்¨ம் பெயரைத் தர ஒப்புக்கொண்டனராம். எனவே இனிதே அந்தப்பெயர் சூட்டப்பட்டுவிட்டது என்கிறார்கள்.

Saravedi/Aaravaram was Title planned would have been perfect one
......Everyone knows this mega Puppet siva gonna give only commercial cocktail why dont u have catchy titles Saravedi...on lines of Dhil dhool etc
