As much as I love Rajini, I also know he DOES NOT like taking risks unless it is out of gratitude or goodwill...

Ranjith to Direct Superstar Rajinikanth's Next Film

CHENNAI: Director Ranjith has been roped in to direct Rajinikanth in his yet-untitled next Tamil project, according to industry sources.

"Ranjith's project with Rajinikanth is finalized. The film will be produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu. The rest of the cast will be finalized soon," a source told IANS.

Two-film-old Ranjith's last outing was the critically-acclaimed Tamil thriller "Madras".

Apparently, Rajini was supposed to team up with filmmaker Shankar for "Enthiran 2". But the source added that the project is pushed to next year.

Well, we'll know in the next coming days. But as someone pointed out, SS is not the person to take chances with a new director .. we'll see. SS with Shankar may still happen later and maynot be entirely a rumor.
