Here is one more song from the film Hemareddy Mallamma 1974 which reminds us of ‘SHIVARATHRI’.

    Lyrics goes here:

    citra: hEmareDDi mallamma 1974

    saMgIta: pi es diwAkar
    sAhitya: ?

shivane ninna neneye namma janma pAvana..
prEmarUpa nInu oliye dhanya jIvana.. /shivane/

    dIpavannu suttuvaMtha huLuvinaMdade..

ninna karuNe kiraNa kaMDu beLaku mUDide
muMde naDesu taMde eMdu bAgi namisuve /shivane/

    Meaning of the song:

Lord Shiva (Shivane), just by remembering you (ninna neneye), our life (namma janma) will get sanctity (pAvana)
Affectionate form (prEma rUpa) (Lord Shiva) if you (nInu) grace us (oliye), our life (jIvana) will be fulfilled with mission (dhanya)

Like a worm/fly (huLuvinaMdadi) revolves (suttuvaMtha) around a lamp (dIpavannu)
without knowing you (ninna ariyade), I came to this earth (dharisi baMde) with so many re-births (enito janma)
Now I found (kaMDu) bright light (beLaku mUDide) with your (ninna) small ray (kiraNa) of sympathy (karuNe)
Father (taMde), I bow (bAgi namisuve) to you requesting to carry on me (muMde naDesu eMdu) in this life

Victory (gellali) for the truth (satya) though the life (bhavada) on this earth is binding (pAsha baMdhisiralu)
Bright (divya) light (dIpa) of your (ninna) affection (olume) will guide us (dAri tOrali)
Let this become SHIVARATHRI (shivarAtriyAgali) of remembering (neneva) you (ninna) day (hagalu) and night (iruLu)
Let this body (dEha) be perished (nashisi) at your (ninna) feet (pAdadi) and become NIRMALYA

    Sudharshan,

The choice of LRE is interesting because she has a similar, very popular teasing song in Tamil (that gave her a break) but for bride.

Yes. I think you are refereeing the song from the film 'Paasha malar' which is also made in Kannada 'Vaathsalya'.
That song also will follow in due course in this thread.

Shri R N Sudarshan is settled at Malleswram, Bangalore.

TV9 has produced a 45 minute discussion programme with him and his wife Shailashree with few video clips of his films.

Regarding Maruti temple. it might be at Sampigehalli, Hosahalli, very near to Bangalore those days ( in Title cards, they have acknowledged the people and land owners of these villages) and now all of them are covered under BBMP area.
