தசாவதாரம் வெளிவருவதற்கு முதல் நாள், பிரத்தியேக காட்சிக்கு அழைத்திருந்தார் கமல். படம் பார்த்தேன். திரைப்படத்தின் தாக்கத்தில் இருந்து மீண்டு வர முடியவில்லை. அரங்கத்திற்கு வெளியே நின்று கொண்டிருந்த கமலின் கையை பிடித்து முத்தம் கொடுத்து, இரண்டு வார்த்தைகளை சொல்லி விட்டு வந்தேன். "கமல்...... ஒன்லி கமல்! " என்று ஒவ்வொரு முறையும் கமல் நிரூபித்து வருகிறார். கமல் தசாவதாரத்தில் விஸ்வரூபம் எடுத்திருக்கிறார் என்று தோன்றியது எனக்கு. நம்பமாட்டீர்கள்... அன்று இரவு முழுவதும் நான் தூங்கவே இல்லை. மீண்டும் மீண்டும் என் கண்ணுக்குள்ளேயே கமலின் பத்து அவதாரங்களும் நிழலாடிக்கொணடே இருந்தன. நடு நடுவில் "கல்லை மட்டும் கண்டால்" பாடலின் போது கமல் மேலே தொங்கும் அந்த மில்லியன் டாலர் ஷாட்டுகள்தான் வந்து போய்கொண்டிருந்தன.

what a superb movie PK is. Amir has the guts to pick at the bad effects of all religious practices. he covered almost all absurd evils in the name of religion, be it conversion by christian mission, fatwa by muslim clerics and of course 'magical deeds' performed by hindu gurus. kudos to the PK team.

why this post here? i would love to see KH adopts the same fearless tact while criticizing mad religious practices existing in india, not only Hinduism.

UV has become now days a real UV to Kamal. You compare AK with KH? Let AK associate with any knowledgeable creators in India and come up with one that's closer or half of what Mahanathi , Hey Ram, Devar Magan amd Virumandi being shaped. Then we can discuss here about AK here.

what a knee jerk reaction. that wasn't the point he was making. he appreciated Amir's fearless approach of exposing extreme and often illogical practices and wished Kamal adapts a similar approach. Don't think he was comparing the total body of work by both.

no venki sir..ur on wrong track here. as parani pointed out, i would be a fool to compare AK with KH film performance wise. i was only pointing out the risk AK has taken despite a muslim himself to be unbiased in criticizing all. i am proud to be UV to KH..UV=Unmai Vilambi

I agree to the point. But partially only .......... AK is a muslim and he targeted Hindu customs 95 percent and to be politically correct 5 percent the rest. And that 95 percent os usually a tolerant lot other than the minority saffron extreme thinkers. Whereas KH is a Hindu and if he does a 95 percent criticism of Muslims, he will either be suicide bombed or the movie will release in 2034.

i too agree sir..not 95%.. let him try the 5% about other religions malpractices but NO.

let me be frank. my anger is a recent one after watching anbe sivam. he will show one character always uttering thennadudaiya sivane potri and doing all atrocities and show christians as real angels sent by God to save earthly ppl. i was really disturbed by the selective amnesia kind of always projecting one religion and its followers in bad light. as u rightly pointed out 95 percent us are usually a tolerant lot.
